Overview:

The Business Formation and Operations Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to clients in establishing and maintaining their businesses. This role involves a deep understanding of various business structures, legal requirements, and operational processes. The Specialist will ensure that clients have the necessary foundation to launch and grow their ventures successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Formation:
    • Assist clients in selecting the most appropriate business structure (LLC, corporation, etc.) based on their specific needs and goals.
    • File necessary paperwork with state authorities to establish the business entity.
    • Obtain Employer Identification Number (EIN) and DUNs number.
    • Register the business with the System for Award Management (SAM) for government contracting opportunities.
  • Business Planning:
    • Guide clients in developing comprehensive business plans, including market analysis, financial projections, and operational strategies.
    • Provide advice on business planning methodologies and tools.
  • Business Branding:
    • Assist clients in creating strong and memorable brand identities.
    • Develop branding guidelines, including logo design, color schemes, and messaging.
  • Business Credit:
    • Educate clients on the importance of building business credit.
    • Help clients establish business credit profiles and obtain financing.
  • Business Contracts:
    • Draft and review various business contracts, such as vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and employment contracts.
    • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and protect the client's interests.
  • Business Protection:
    • Advise clients on risk management strategies and insurance needs.
    • Assist in obtaining necessary insurance coverage, including liability, property, and workers' compensation.
  • Business Maintenance:
    • Provide ongoing support for business operations.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and legal changes to ensure clients receive accurate and timely advice.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of business law, accounting principles, and tax regulations.
  • Experience in business formation, planning, and operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
